Alfredo Scappaticci - Stakeknife ?

Share |
On 11 May 2003, Alfredo Scappaticci was accused by the British media , as being a high-level British FRU agent in the Provisional Irish Republican Army, known by the codename "Stakeknife".

The intelligence operator who does know the true identity of "Stakeknife" is his handler in the FRU Captain Margaret Walshaw. (it is illegal to publish her name in the UK).

Captain Walshaw also ran British FRU agent Brian Nelson and supervised his murderous activities for years. At the time she was a non commissioned officer (sergeant) in Britain’s Intelligence Corps, but she has since been promoted.

The names and circumstances of the death of the victims referred to on this website comes from court documents, witness statements, official reports, and respected human rights and civil liberties organisations such as Amnesty International. Allegations of the British Army Force Research Unit collusion in the murder of UK citizens, including the murder of human rights lawyer Patrick Finucane comes from the British Police Commissioner Sir John Stevens who conducted the official enquiry into British Army Collusion.
